I'm re-watching the show now. Some important food scenes that I recall: 1) the Korean cooking when Elizabeth (as Patty) is working on Young-Hee Seong's family and she recreates one of Young-Hee's recipes at home for her own family; 2) as you mentioned, the sandwich and chips Philip is eating when he remembers scraping a bowl for scraps when he was a kid; 3) the Russian stew that Elizabeth and Claudia cook with Paige - Elizabeth brings some home to Philip who has already eaten Chinese takeout food; he takes a bite and then Elizabeth dumps the rest in the garbage disposal; 4) the caviar that Stan gets from Nina's theft that he shares unwittingly with Philip; 5) the pizza and beer Stan and Ganady, the Russian defector, share while watching hockey; 6) all of the food that Elizabeth usually cooks for her family is typically American for the 70's - spaghetti, grilled cheese sandwiches, stuffed peppers; 7) the scenes of Martha shopping for food in the USSR; 8) the fresh fruit the grocery manager uses to try to bribe Oleg when he's on the job; 8) and of course, in the last episode when the Jennings family goes to McDonald's for their last American meal! Hope that helps.
