Dmitri Ivanovich Sharanov (Russian: Дмитрий Иванович Шаронов) is a Russian baza head involved in a chain of people funneling food and supplies towards wealthy and powerful citizens, at the expense of ordinary people, many of whom go hungry.
His name is provided to Oleg and Ruslan by Ekaterina Rikova. He initially rebuffs their demands for information, despite being threatened over his son serving in Afghanistan. ("Lotus 1-2-3")
Dmitri comes home to find Ruslan and Oleg waiting for him. Having found boxes of cash and jewelry, he tries to bribe them with it. When they refuse, he explains how the system works. Demanding names of those who bribe him, he refuses, speaking to how powerful they are and the threat to himself. He's taken and put in jail. ("Crossbreed")
Oleg and Ruslan put Dmitri in prison where he ultimately gives Oleg the name of his contact. ("IHOP")
