Maurice is Lisa's husband. He is described by her as being a "good man," with whom she initially had a good marriage. Maurice was responsible for getting Lisa involved in Alcoholics Anonymous. However, out of work for four months, he began drinking again. This causes Lisa to send their children to stay with her sister. Maurice is not happy to see Elizabeth, when she shows up at night, pretending to be drunk, and looking for a place to stay.
Desperate for money, Maurice pushes Lisa into taking pictures of a stealth aircraft at Northrup, where Lisa works. He handles the exchange of money for the photos with Elizabeth, which wasn't what Elizabeth agreed to. Lisa later tells Elizabeth that Maurice took the money and ran off to Florida with another woman.
