Season One of The Americans premiered on January 30, 2013 and concluded on May 1, 2013. It contained a total of thirteen episodes. 

Synopsis

Set during the Cold War period in the 1980s, it is the story of Elizabeth (Keri Russell) and Philip Jennings (Matthew Rhys), two Soviet KGB officers posing as an American married couple in the suburbs of Washington D.C. and their neighbor, Stan Beeman (Noah Emmerich), an FBI Counter-Intelligence agent.

She abducts him with Philip's help, but ultimately lets him go. The newly promoted Nina is given access to the material obtained from the Weinberger bug. Martha surprises "Clark" by introducing him to her parents.

		Sanford Prince recruits an Air Force colonel who will sell information on the SDI project for $50,000. Moscow orders Elizabeth to meet with him despite her misgivings. Martha plants a bug in Gaad's office; Clark marries her to ensure her loyalty. Viola tells the FBI about the Weinberger bug. Nina is sworn into Directorate S and confesses her spying to Arkady, offering to become a re-doubled agent.

		When Philip and Elizabeth are ordered to go through with a meeting that could potentially be a set-up, they find themselves confronted with unexpected truths about their relationship. Stan's investigation puts him and the FBI even closer to the Jennings.
